The NatureWell Journey

Natural Academy has been in existence since 2008 and has worked in the space intersecting human and environmental health since then. We recognised that to meet the crises in health and nature we needed to facilitate a deepening connection to nature for individuals, communities, organisations, and statutory bodies. We have helped thousands of people improve their connection to nature and support positive health outcomes. This has been through direct green care and eco therapeutic services or through training and support that enables teams in the NHS, conservation charities, health and social care organisations and community organisations to support people to access the many proven benefits of nature connectedness. Over the past 8 years we have developed our NatureWell approach, which is being used as best practice in nature-based interventions across the UK, in North Somerset and within the West of England region by ourselves and other providers including within NHS mental health services.
